I think I am actually another of these desert-loving English. Not quite the Sahara, but 40sq miles of desert canyons, gullies, cliffs and ravines, it’s pretty unique and a privilege to see this incredible landscape at sunrise, sunset and at night. And with a 360˚ view, I’m not sure I’ve ever stayed in such an extraordinary place either – for anyone old enough to remember the reference, it feels like somewhere from the Martian Chronicles.
Seems only right to shoot this little project in a suitably dramatic way with an anamorphic 2.66:1 ratio.
